Welcome to the Okotoks Flying Club Web Site
The Okotoks Flying Club (OFC) is a COPA flight-affiliated club (Flight 081). The Club consists of a local group of flight enthusiasts who operate out of the Okotoks Air Ranch (CFX2).
The Club holds meetings the last Monday of every month at the Okotoks Air Ranch Hangar. Pushback time is 19:30.
Each meeting includes a variety of topics of interest to aviation in the Okotoks area. The Club takes an active role on the goings-on of the aerodrome and regularly performs volunteer activities in conjunction with the Fixed Base Operator.
In addition, the Club sponsors annual fly-ins for the southern Alberta aviation community.
News
11-Jul-2008: There have been a lot of complaints about aircraft running up and disturbing the residents along the taxiway. In particular some aircraft have been directing their propwash directly into the yards. It has been requested that all run ups be made on the west side of the first taxiway reflector directing the back blast into the open grass area. There is limited space there though so there is only room for 2 aircraft of small size to be doing this at once.
28-Mar-2008: Bill's handout on flying to the USA (presented at the 25-Mar pre-flight meeting) is posted here (PDF format).
