2007 Fly-In Information
(Subject to change without notice).
** Event is Rain or Shine **
The Okotoks Flying Club (OFC) is a proud to host another fall fly-in
at the Okotoks Air Ranch. This year we've partnered with Grant Karl of Karl Air
in the grand opening of the new Okotoks Hangar. This undertaking is a big deal for
the OFC (and the Air Ranch) as it's the first major addition to the aerodrome in
many years - so we're very excited about it.
Watch (err: listen) for our radio spots on The
Eagle 100.9 the week before the fly-in.

Presentations
Members of the Okotoks Flying Club will be on hand to give informal presentations
on the arcane art of General Aviation. Curious to find out just what these guys
(and gals) do to prepare and execute a flight in one of these 'small' aircraft?
Then this is for you - you might just be surprised!
Also, there will be discussions on the current requirements for obtaining your Private
Pilot License.
Our club lives and breathes aviation. We wake up thinking aviation. The last thing
we think about before falling asleep is aviation. We put aviation before everything
(wives, kids, Transport Canada, RCMP). Well, maybe that's exagerating a little,
but:
Even if you aren't a pilot, maybe want to be, or are just keen on the subject, you
can 'chew the fat' with OFC members that will be prowling around (we'll be wearing
the OFC nametags).
Draws
This year we will be raffling off THREE vouchures for Discovery Flights. One from
Skywings Aviation (the local aerodrome operator) and two from our good friends at
the Calgary Flying Club (each worth
about $70.00). Winners will receive a 30-minute, hands-on (supervised) flight in
a Cessna 172 out of the Okotoks or Springbank Airport.
Think you'll be nervous? What about your Instructor...?
